Established in 1977 by sole practitioner Isabelle R. Strauss, this firm currently devotes its resources exclusively to handling select animal rights cases. The firm's representation has included the guardians of Taro, New Jersey's "death row dog" ; the guardian of two elephants, Tory and Dutchess, whose story were told in the book entitled, At Large; and the guardian of Rocky, a boxer who was fatally injured by the police of a N. J. municipality.
